Scouting Report on J.P. Gavinski

by Jerry Meyer - 05/05/2005
Gavinski has a nice frame that should hold more weight and a very fundamenally solid game. Knows how to post and can finish the jump hook with either hand. Runs well and can shoot it out to 17-feet. Not an explosive athlete, but he is strong inside with the basketball.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
