On the Hoof: A very tall, long-limbed lineman with a frame that could add another 30 pounds. He has very little bad body weight and a flat stomach. DeBell is similar in size as 2010 Iowa signee Andrew Donnal.
Needs Improvement: DeBell has a tendency to overextend while pass blocking, leaving him prone to being snatched. He could improve his flexibility a bit, which will help him get back in a nice sitting position while pass blocking. Adding some size will also help him become a bigger force as a run-blocker.
Most Impressive: You can't teach height and long arms, which he possesses. DeBell does a nice job of using his length to keep defenders at bay while sliding his feet after contact. He also seems like a real nasty player who won't mind getting an extra hit in before the whistle is blown.
Conclusion: He is most likely a redshirt candidate while he adds size and strength, but he has potential to be a three-year starter and an all-conference player.
