Scouting Report on Bronson Kaufusi

How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 08/25/2009
  • SpeedDivision I Player
  • SizeAs Good As It Gets
  • StrengthDivision I Player
  • AgilityBlue Chip
  • Lateral PursuitBlue Chip
On the Hoof: Very wide shoulders that are the base of some of the longest arms and thickest forearms you will every see. Kaufusi also has very athletic-looking legs and a frame that could possibly grow into a massive offensive tackle.
Needs Improvement: Needs to be quicker off the ball and play a tad nastier and lower at the point of attack. He already showed signs of improvement in both areas in early games as a senior.
Most Impressive: His overall size and athleticism are incredible. He is very light on his feet and his wingspan will definitely cause quarterbacks problems seeing down field.
Conclusion: By the time he shows up on campus, he will most likely be the biggest defensive end on the roster and that alone may be enough to afford him some early playing time. But he is not close to being finished filling out his frame and if he becomes an offensive lineman, he could be one of the best in the country.
