    Scouting Report on Eilar Hardy

On the Hoof: Hardy is lean with wide shoulders and long arms. His lower body is a bit thicker and more developed at this time.
Needs Improvement: Adding size and strength will only improve the power in which he strikes ball-carriers. He has a tendency to tackle low and use his arms only. Hardy can also work on staying lower in his backpedal.
Most Impressive: Even though he is not a big striker, Hardy definitely is not afraid to come up and make tackles near the line of scrimmage. He has good instincts reading run/pass and takes good tackling angles. His ball skills are above average.
Conclusion: Look for him to redshirt as he gains size and strength. Most safeties get an opportunity to prove themselves on special teams first before seeing the field as a positional player. It is reasonable for fans to expect him to see considerable playing time by the end of his second season.
