On the Hoof: This long-limbed defensive end has a thick upper body.
Needs Improvement: Still learning and embracing defense after spending his earlier years as a receiver. Pagan needs to be more consistent using his hands to keep offensive linemen off his body while working on shedding blocks quicker.
Most Impressive: This is a superior athlete turned defensive end. He has the speed to catch skilled players from behind and destroy immobile quarterbacks. He does a nice job winning the leverage battle at the point of attack. Pagan could end up having the combination of size and speed to play either defensive end positions.
Conclusion: Right now he is a bit raw so don’t be surprised if he redshirts. That being said, true pass rushers sometimes get a chance to show their speed early and often. Either way his best football is still ahead of them.
