On the Hoof: Calloway has room for added muscle mass. His overall build is clearly better than the average linebacker recruit.
Needs Improvement: Has a tendency to tackle high, using his arms to throw smaller ballcarriers to the ground. This tactic will not be as effective with bigger backs. Calloway needs to explode from his hips and sink that shoulder into the midsection of the offensive player. Needs to get reps moving in space and covering backs and tight ends.
Most Impressive: Has a tremendous overall frame that can pack on a ton of muscle mass. His speed is excellent. Calloway is also a very good pass rusher, blitzing off the edge. He could play safety or even running back in college.
Conclusion: This super-athletic defender will surely be a terror on kick/punt coverage teams. Once he proves himself on special teams he will be given a chance to be an every-down positional player. Look for him to end up as an all-conference selection before his college career is over.
