Scouting Report on Ron Brooksby Mike Farrell - 07/17/2006
Could project as a defensive back but is most likely going to end up at wide receiver. He shows good concentration when the ball is in the air and comes back on underthrown passes and fights in traffic. After the catch he’s slippery and physical, always churning his legs for an extra yard. He has good but not great speed, enough to get some separation but he won’t be a home run hitter at the next level. In the open field he tends to slow down too much on his cuts. He has average size but plays bigger and isn’t afraid to work the middle of the field. He’s strong for his size and gets off the line well. Brooks doesn’t allow the ball to get into his body and he has good body control.
