Scouting Report on Brey Cook

by Barry Every - 11/05/2010
  • SpeedDivision I Player
  • SizeAs Good As It Gets
  • StrengthBlue Chip
  • AgilityDivision I Player
  • Foot QuicknessDivision I Player
On the Hoof: Wide shoulders with thick arms and huge hands. His powerbase is thick and he possesses tree trunks for legs.
Needs Improvement: Could improve hip and knee flexibility, which should help him as a pass protector staying balanced and in front of the defender at all times. He needs to be very cognizant of his pad level.
Most Impressive: Huge body that could play at least three of the four offensive line positions. He is a very physical run blocker with the size to compete early in his career. Cook is also a very tough kid that will fight the whole game.
Conclusion: His size alone will get him looks early at some position along the offensive line. Look for him to be in the two-deep as a freshman while he eventually works his way into the lineup full time by his second season.
