Scouting Report on Rodney McGruder

by Jerry Meyer - 10/19/2007
McGruder is the epitome of a slashing wing. He covers a lot of ground in a few dribbles and can change direction in a snap and then finish difficult shots. Blessed with a high motor, he also makes plays on the boards and on defense. His outside shot has room for improvement.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
