Scouting Report on Ryan Broylesby Mike Farrell - 07/17/2006
Broyles has excellent instincts as a cornerback. He reads run-pass very well and is excellent in run support despite a slight frame. He’s not overly physical but is a very sure tackler, showing great form and almost always going low. He slides between blockers well in pursuit and he has a good burst. He drives on the ball very well and recognizes routes. He shows good hands and can be dangerous after an interception. He needs to get stronger and add weight but he has the frame to carry 195 pounds. On offense he’s very quick with the ball in his hands and is dangerous from anyplace on the field. He has very good feet and changes direction quickly. He takes chances often as a defensive back, but at the high school level he’s good enough to get away with it. His future looks to be on defense.
