Scouting Report on Niles Paul

by Mike Farrell - 06/19/2006
Paul is a big wide receiver with excellent speed and soft hands. He has the build to work over the middle and take punishment and the quickness to stretch the field and make big plays to the outside. He’s a bit raw but has excellent bloodlines as the nephew of Green Bay Packer Ahman Green. Paul can make defenders miss and is dangerous after the catch and is versatile. He could play in the slot or to the outside, creating a potential mismatch either way. He still needs work on his route running and needs to sell routes to corners to utilize the threat of his speed, but his ceiling is high. A great athlete, Paul will go up and get the football and has the strength to battle for it in a crowd.
