On the Hoof: Tall, lean athlete that looks more like a receiver than a linebacker. He has long arms and is very skinny for a linebacker. He is very similar to former Virginia Tech linebacker Xavier Adibi.
Needs improvement: Williams needs to improve overall strength but especially his lower body. He needs to be physical at the point of attack and not get swallowed up by blockers. You would also like to see him be more aggressive in run support.
Most impressive: He is excellent in coverage, because he has fluid hips and tremendous lateral movement. Williams is also a very good open-field tackler, and he just excels in space. He may even be able to play safety at the next level.
Conclusion: He could be an immediate impact at the next level at safety on special teams. As a linebacker it could take him a few years because he needs to add serious mass and strength.
