Scouting Report on Anthony Jefferson

How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 09/21/2009
  • SpeedDivision I Player
  • SizeBlue Chip
  • StrengthDivision I Player
  • AgilityBlue Chip
  • Ball SkillsBlue Chip
On the Hoof: Tall and very lanky torso with long, lean arms and legs. His build is similar to USC cornerback T.J. Bryant, just a bit taller.
Needs Improvement: It would not hurt to improve speed and add some upper body muscle mass which should allow him to play a more physical game.
Most Impressive: Clearly has the skill to play either corner or receiver at the next level, which makes him very versatile. Jefferson has excellent ball skills and knows how to use his long arms to steer a receiver off his intended pattern.
Conclusion: As a corner, he would be considered rare because he is actually over 6-feet tall and will be able to go up against the big receivers at the next level.
Jefferson like many young skilled players will most likely make an early impact on special teams. Expect big things form this intelligent and high-character football player.
