Scouting Report on Travian Robertson

by Mike Farrell - 06/20/2006
Robertson is an excellent pass rusher with a long frame and an excellent motor. He runs plays down from behind, uses his hands well to keep blockers off him and has a quick first step. He is athletic enough to play standing up at times in high school but his future is with his hand down as a weakside pass rusher. Robertson missed much of his junior season with an injury so his recovery is a question mark, but if he returns to form and doesn’t lose quickness, he’s a rare prospect. Robertson has good vision at the line of scrimmage and reads run/pass well. He’s patient when playing the run and doesn’t overcommit or put himself in awkward position. He still needs to fill out his frame and add much needed strength, but his speed in pursuit, hustle and his first step will give tackles and quarterbacks fits.
