On the Hoof: Long-limbed and very thin are the two biggest physical characteristics that stick out about Arnett. His physique is similar to Alabama freshman DeAndrew White.
Needs Improvement: Arnett is very thin and will have to add size and strength if he plans on being able to play more than one of the wide receiver positions. More size should improve his ability to hold blocks during running plays as well as his durability.
Most Impressive: He has excellent hands and uses his arms to catch the ball away from his body and at its highest point. His amazing body control allows him to make the tough catches look easy and adjust to the ball while it is in the air. Arnett has excellent change of direction and enough speed to get deep and get yards after the catch.
Conclusion: Because he is so thin I would think he has to redshirt. But he is talented, and receivers who come to camp and learn their routes and consistently make plays will get a chance early on. Whether he plays as a freshman or not, he should develop into a solid two- to three-year starter at the next level.
