    Scouting Report on Marcus Brister

    by Jerry Meyer - 05/24/2005
A physical point guard with a knack at getting into the lane and finishing with either hand, Brister is also a versatile and excellent defender. His ability to rebound defensively and take the ball down on the break puts a great deal of pressure on opposing teams. The weakness of his game is his outside shooting.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
