On the Hoof: Would be considered tall for a running back, with wide shoulders long arms and a narrow waist. He is fairly lean and defined. He has the frame to play at about 220 pounds before his career is over. He is built like Stanford freshman Stepfan Taylor.
Needs improvement: Would like to see him work on his speed and making yards after contact. When running between the tackles, he must explode into would-be tacklers.
Most impressive: He is one of the more versatile backs in the entire country. He is a serious threat as a receiver, and has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. His frame will also hold more weight, making him hard to bring down with mere arm tackles.
Conclusion: His ability to do so many things from the offensive side of the ball may get him a shot to play as a freshman. Do not be surprised if Cooper is used as a receiver early on, just to get his athleticism on the field and make plays. He will eventually become an every-down back at the next level with NFL potential because of his superior hands out of the backfield.
