Teachable moments with Coach Diaco and Martin

This is how intensity and attention to detail is enforced upon football players. You want us to beat SC or UF on the road; or a sleeper like Navy? Kick back and let the proven Coach turn this team around. You want another softy like Weis, be a KC fan. BTW, good one about the guys son. "No more Softies!" GO IRISH!

NOBODY that has ever played football would be a @#$% and complain about that complete non-drama coaching. If you can't stand the heat, go @#$% out and play soccer.
Posted on Friday April, 2 at 9:11 CDT Report AbuseWhat exactly is getting people so upset? Why do you watch CFB then? These kids get big and strong and beat the snot out of each other on the field, and their heads collide, but you whine about the yelling? I don;t see any physical abuse, cursing, etc., but if you're going to prep guys to go to war on the gridiron, it's not going to be nice.
Posted on Friday April, 2 at 5:27 CDT Report AbuseThe negative comments sound like some scared @#$% Michigan and USC fans - once ND has a legitimate TEACHING staff, they know they are going to reap the whirlwind! AS for the yelling and not explaining, anyone who has ever played before knows that the explanation is given off the field in meetings and/or before the drill starts. The coach makes the kid feel good LATER, not on the field!
Posted on Friday April, 2 at 1:38 CDT Report AbuseThese posts = the pussification of America. I expected there to be some horrible Bobby Knight stuff in the video based on these responses - there wasn't, there was just an intense coach being intense while he was coaching. But he was always coaching, never just yelling. You all need to man up; I pity your children.
Posted on Friday April, 2 at 1:7 CDT Report AbuseI do not care what his winning percentage is- this type of behavior to the finest young men in America(outstanding students) is not what ND is all about.
Posted on Friday April, 2 at 5:56 CDT Report AbuseI am all for yelling at players especially at this level and certainly at ND but it seemed Motta was confused on that drill and yelling at a kid when he doesnt understand does nothing to help the player.
Posted on Thursday April, 1 at 9:30 CDT Report AbuseThat "idiot" has a 91% winning percentage as a head coach. Your son probably couldn't fill out an application for Notre Dame anyway, not to mention the skirt he wears.
Posted on Thursday April, 1 at 9:29 CDT Report Abusewould not want my son around that idiot
