it seems like every time someone whoops ND's ass they complain especially when it's someone thet consider a lesser program. Navy is undersized and slow compared to ND we ran all over them, Clausen had a career day and still we out fought ND for the win. This guy twisted Niumat's words and whined. Can't wait to whip ND again in Annapolis.

As human beings we pass judgment on others, not realizing their situation and state of mind.It is easy to criticize a coach or official which I also do,but we have to have enough intelligence to know that they experience things we aren't aware of that causes them to say what they say.I heard the Navy coach after the game, but I heard nothing degrading, but we interpret things differently,it's human.

What the official called a chop block wasn't.I played that back, over and over, and the block was well above the knees..Whoever called Clausen's shuffle pass a fumble is either blind or anti-ND.The announcers even played it back and it was obvious that Clausen's hand was going forward. That may have been the difference in the outcome of the game and Weis' future.

  • Hey, rich ... screw you ... NAVY beat you on both sides of the ball ... you wouldn't know a "dirty cut block" if it walked up and introduced itself to you ... NAVY is one of -if not THE- least penalized teams in college football at any level and has been for at least 8 consecutive years, in spite of every whining, incompetent coach in the country complaining about "cut blocks". Grow the F... up !

  • Ironic and appropriate that they key play that ended ND's final drive was an illegal 'chop' block. I don't recall Navy getting called for any 'chop' blocks against ND. What goes around...

  • Anyone else find it humorous that Notre Dame got called for a personal foul Chop Block against Pitt. Personal fouls happen sometimes, it doesn't mean a program is "dirty" or "malicious".

  • Sounds like Coach Brown is still holding onto the great ND tradition of losing to NAVY!!!!

  • Let me get this straight: Notre Dame uses the exact same defensive scheme as last year. Navy adjusts and runs all over them. ND doesn't make effective adjustments to stop them during the game and Brown says NAVY is the team that is unimaginative? Really?

GIve the guy a freaking break. No, this is not the way we want ND coaches to react, but he's human. He and his staff are crapped on week in and week out by ND alum, fans and haters...unfairly...with cruel intent...in a way that is wholely inconsistent with ND values. I don't want this to be his standard way of representing ND, but this time I say, "Good for you..." Stand up for yourself.
