Steve Alford! UNM is 28-3 and 6-0 against ranked teams. The 3 teams being talked about all have superior talent. However UNM's having a dream season and did it without a true "big" after losing both legitmate centers before the season started and with only ONE senior. Coach of the Year should be based on results with the talent given. Geez; a high school coach would look good with Kentucky talent

Just wanted to note that we have (bitter rivals) KU and K-State fans on here, each pulling for the other's coach! That is 100% class. Bill Self is a fine coach, maybe a better recruiter, but suffers from high expectations. Frank Martin created something from nothing and is COY hands down. The draw will determine which Kansas team gets to undress Calipari's kitties.

No mention of Steve Alford at New Mexico? You've got to be kidding me. The New Mexico Lobos were picked to finish 5th in the Mountain West. A victory over BYU will secure a title, not to mention their 26-3 record with victories of 5 top 25 teams.......9 top 50 teams....and a # 10 ranking. C'mon guys....give credit where it's due.

Coach Cal didn't take any recuits from Memphis, they left Memphis because they wanted to play for the coach, not the school and that is why it was in the letter they sign if the coach left Memphis, the letter was void. I just love it when fools get on here and make statement that they do not know if are true or not. Just jealous of KY and Coach Cal's sucess
