Weber is an adequate coach, but may be too much old school ala Gene Keady philosophy, gets some decent tallent but doesn't seem to motivate, team play is not the Illini forte. Focus and concentration seem to be the main issues. Remember this team is largely freshmen and sophmores, most will little experience, If we end 500 in the big ten this year it will be good for this team. Need maturity.

AD Thomas said it all. Be relevant in the B1G year in and year out and not wonder if your in the dance but, what seed do you get. That's enough for me. He will not put up with this coach after this year. Thank goodness.

  • Bring back Chief Illiniwek and we will get the top recruits. So we fire Bruce then WHAT, there are not alot of top coaches beating down the door to be the head coach at Illinois, same thing happened when Self left. Just like in football we could not land a big name coach.

Bruce Pearl, the next Illionis head coach? The Illine A.D. is glutton for punishment. Pearl is best suited as a used car salements...

Bruce Weber is ruining the Illini program, not only with his lack of recruiting big time talent but his inability to adjust to game situations. Who out there of true Illini nation did not know that they would lose at home to Northwestern?, if you can't motivate your players for all games then the Ohio St and Mich St type wins are meaningless. So long Bruce ---TIMES UP!!!

I am a very loyal Illinois b-ball fan living in Cincinnati and it has become very painful to watch as the Illinois program as sunk to the middle to lower portions of the Big Ten. Lou Henson, Lon Kruger and Bill Self had no problems recruiting great talent to Champaign, I feel we have better talent than what we are showing but is falling apart before our eyes. MId Major recruiting doesn't cut it.

Bruce Weber is a cancer that has been eating away at Illini competitiveness resurrected by Bill Self. Time for Weber to be fired and ran out of town by AD Mike Thomas. Enough is ENOUGH!
