Cecil Whiteside

On the Hoof: Tall linebacker with wide shoulders and very long arms. He is built like Jordan Hicks, only taller.
Needs Improvement: Will need to add some weight on his lean frame. Whiteside also needs to continue to work on playing in space and off the line of scrimmage since he does work a lot at defensive end in high school. This will entail understanding formations and tendencies of opponents, while staying at home defensively.
Most Impressive: He is a superior overall athlete that could play on the offensive side of the ball as a hybrid tight end. Whiteside has excellent speed and the ability to run sideline to sideline as well as turn his hips and run with a running back out of the backfield.
Conclusion: Really could use some added size but his ability to run like a deer and affinity for contact will probably have him seeing early playing time. Whiteside has what it takes to be a three-year starter and eventually develop into a serious NFL prospect.
