Scouting Report on Anthony Barr

On the Hoof: Has the appearance of a tall, athletic tight end with long limbs, long legs and a thoroughbred stride. Will physically remind people of Brandon Jacobs of the New York Giants.
Needs Improvement: Tall backs take a pounding from the waist down, so Barr will need to strengthen and maximize the flexibility of his lower extremities. He also needs to work on stepping out of arm tackles by continually chopping his feet.
Most Impressive: Has great, natural forward body lean which allows him to gain yards after contact. He also has excellent vision and is very dangerous if he gets to the outside. His potential to also project at other positions makes him a very valuable prospect for recruiters.
Conclusion: If he can stay healthy and take to pounding at the next level, it is not unconceivable for him to have a college career similar to Eddie George. He is a versatile athlete and could possibly end up as an outside linebacker, weakside defensive end or even a tight end if running back does not work out.

Anthony Barr didn't watch Notre Dame's victory over Washington in the future tense. Considering the Irish like Barr at three positions, it would have been too much for this four-star athlete to track on his official visit.
