On the Hoof: Barrel-chested lineman with thick arms and round shoulders. Irwin has a great base with very thick legs. He has a similar build to Texas sophomore David Snow.
Needs Improvement: He must become more flexible in the hips and knee region, which will allow him to get lower pad level and more pop coming out of his stance. Irwin must also watch his weight because he is already right at his ideal size.
Most Impressive: This is one mean hombre that will mix it up and use physical intimidation as part of his repertoire. He also is very versatile, possessing the ability to play either guard position, center or even right offensive tackle.
Conclusion: Has the size and toughness to make the two-deep as a true freshman. The key will be coming to camp in shape and ready to compete. He has a chance to become an all-league performer before his career is over.
