Christian Bryant

On the Hoof: Has excellent overall body structure and looks the part of a true cover corner. Bryant has the potential to add another 15 pounds and he is very long and plays like a big corner. He is physically similar to Arizona corner Robert Golden and Miami corner Brandon Harris.
Needs improvement: He could improve overall speed a tad. Bryant needs to improve his practice habits at the next level because coaches are only going to play corners that compete on every practice snap.
Most impressive: He is a very versatile athlete that does a lot for his high school team. Bryant has tremendous ball skills and comes out of his breaks like a cat stalking its prey. In a game situation, he is as competitive as they come.
Conclusion: Cornerback is a tough spot to break into as a freshman, but he may have the skills and tenacity to play some meaningful snaps in nickel and dime packages. The fact that he is fearless and lacks no confidence bodes well for his future at the next level as a corner. If his speed ends up being adequate he could become a game changer.
