Justin Hunter

On the Hoof: Hunter looks a lot like Dwayne Jarrett of the Carolina Panthers at the same stage. He is very tall and narrow shouldered, with big hands and skinny legs. He has plenty of room to fill out, but the most he will ever be is about 215 pounds.
Needs improvement: Hunter definitely needs to work on strength, which will help him win balls thrown into heavy traffic and get off man coverage. Hunter needs to be a more precise route runner. At this stage, he rounds his patterns, allowing the defense to gain advantage. He needs to stay mentally in the game even when the ball is not being thrown his way.
Most impressive: His leaping ability is off the charts, and he is a long strider, so his speed is very deceptive. Hunter also has big, strong hands and knows how to catch the ball away from his body.
Conclusion: He is really raw so it is probably 50-50 that he will play as a true freshman. His ceiling as a player is really high, but how big and physical he will get is up in the air. Hunter has the potential to become all-league before his career is over.
