On the Hoof: The long-armed Shaw has such a muscular upper body it is hard to believe he is a cornerback.
Needs Improvement: He must learn to stay low in his backpedal and keep his feet under him. This should help his balance and ability to break on the ball quicker.
Most Impressive: Shaw may be the most physically impressive-looking corner at this age that I have ever seen. He possesses great ball skills and has the ability to re-route receivers off the line of scrimmage and into the boundary.
Conclusion: If he proves to have the ability to play corner at the next level, he will become a future first-round draft pick. He has the size, speed and strength to stay with larger receivers. Most likely he will see early playing time as the nickel back because corner is such a reactive position that takes time to learn.
