On the Hoof: The most prominent physical feature is his thick powerbase and huge legs. Hunt-Days has long arms and a frame that can hold more muscle mass. His build is similar to Auburn freshman LaDarius Owens.
Needs Improvement: Hunt-Days is going to be playing full-time linebacker for the first time this fall. Will he be physical as a tackler? Though a very good cover linebacker, he is almost too aggressive trying to knock the back off course near the line of scrimmage. Quick backs that are excellent route runners may be able to juke him.
Most Impressive: Has great length, size and athleticism which will allow him to excel as a pass rusher and a cover guy. He is a very hard worker that is intelligent and loves new challenges. Look for Hunt-Days to be a leader on the field and in the locker room.
Conclusion: It may take a redshirt year for him to continue to develop as a linebacker. And don’t be surprised if he grows into a weakside defensive end at the next level. Either way this high effort football player should end up being a success.
