Rodgers scores 28, No. 19 Hoyas beat Clemson

WASHINGTON (AP)—Sugar Rodgers matched her season high with 28 points and Rubylee Wright scored a career-best 16 as No. 19 Georgetown defeated Clemson 75-54 Thursday night for their fifth straight win.

The Hoyas (12-3) pulled away by scoring the last six points of the first half for a 38-28 lead, then got 10 of the first 13 points after the break. Tia McGee scored seven of her 13 points in the big run,

Rodgers made her first five shots of the second half.

Kirstyn Wright scored 17 points and Sthefany Thomas added 13 points to lead the Lady Tigers (6-8), who have dropped six straight games. Their last four losses have been by an average of 26.5 points.
