RUSTON, LOUISIANA (TICKER) —Reserve Sultra Harding and junior Trina Frierson both scored 16 points to help No. 12 Louisiana Tech roll over Centenary, 97-47.
Harding, a 6-2 center, shot 6-for-10 from the field and grabbed seven of her nine rebounds off the defensive glass in 22 minutes off the bench.
Frierson pulled down eight rebounds, seven at the offensive end, handed out a pair of assists and shot 6-for-9 from the floor for the Lady Techsters (15-2), who shot almost 57 percent from the field in the first half for a 54-18 halftime lead.
Aarica Ray chipped in with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, eight rebounds and six assists in 23 minutes off the bench for Louisiana Tech, which got a combined 50 points from its reserves.
The Lady Techsters netted 10-of-19 attempts from 3-point range (52.6).
Van’esha Brabson recorded a double-double with a team-high 11 points and 10 rebounds and Julie Daniels, who averages 13.8 points per game, added 10 for the Ladies’ (4-13), who shot 29 percent (18-of-62) from the field and turned the ball over 27 times, 12 of which were committed by guard Demetria Dorsey.
