The Badgers are coming off two of the best seasons in school history, but the stain from losing back-to-back Rose Bowls hasn't worn off. Wisconsin's offseason started off in a grand style, when top tailback Montee Ball decided to stay in school for his senior year.
Ball is one of the leading candidates for the 2012 Heisman Trophy after rushing for 1,923 yards and 33 touchdowns in 2011. Ball averaged 6.3 yards per carry, but the main news coming out of UW's spring practice was another late addition to the roster.
Last year, the Badgers rode the last-minute decision by North Carolina State quarterback Russell Wilson to transfer to Wisconsin. Wilson was a perfect fit for the experienced Badgers, blending his leadership, personality and athleticism into helping the Badgers ...More |
