UCLA entered signing day with several recruits still up in the air. The Bruins won some and lost some, but mostly they were able to breathe a huge sigh of relief at the end of the day over the work they had done.
In the afternoon of signing day, UCLA got commitments and letters from four standout defenders—linebacker Josh Shirley, end Owamagbe Odighizuwa and defensive backs Dietrich Riley and Anthony Jefferson.
"When you add this group to the young men we have recruited over the last two years, it gives us a great foundation for the future," coach Rick Neuheisel said.
