Tulsa's first spring practice of the year seemed to have a couple bad omens. There were high winds, and a power outage.
If that's the case, the Golden Hurricane should be able to deal with the problems. Second year coach Bill Blankenship dealt with plenty of early season drama last year, in losing top playmaker Damaris Johnson last year to an embezzlement arrest, then having to play a slew of top 10 teams.
Still the Golden Hurricane finished 8-5, and were in contention for the Conference USA title until the year's final week, a de facto playoff.
