A 3-7  season couldn't get any worse, right? It did, much worse, with Tulane's 49-0 loss at UCF.

The setback was worse than the score indicated, with the Green Wave managing a grand total of 50 yards of total offense, the lowest output in Conference USA history. The team finished with minus-30 yards rushing in the contest.

Tulane averaged less than a yard per play, with the team running 51 plays to get its 50 yards.

Coach Bob Toledo gave credit to the UCF defense.

"It's even better than I thought," Toledo said. "I thought we'd be able to establish some kind of a run and be able to throw the ball a little bit. But they just snuffed us out. Brynn Harvey ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns and Kamar Aiken had two of touchdown receptions as the Central Florida routed Tulane 49-0 on Saturday. The Knights (7-4, 5-2 Conference USA) forced five turnovers and held Tulane to just 50 yards on total offense. Harvey ran 50 yards for a touchdown on the fourth play of the game and scored two more times from 2 yards out.
