UTEP has long been known as a finesse team that liked to pass and maybe lacked a little toughness.

Coach Mike Price obviously heard those criticisms and took them to heart, as his latest recruiting class included plenty of size.

"It's the biggest class we have had in terms of size," Price said. "We recruited some huge kids. We need to get better. We have been a speed team for years, but we realize we have to be able to run the football on offense and stop the run on defense. This has to start up front.

"We recruited a bunch of offensive and defensive linemen. We're a big, tall football team, but we haven't sacrificed our speed."
