Don't tell TCU coach Gary Patterson that his team's dream season and run to a BCS bowl game is why the Horned Frogs brought in one of their best recruiting classes.

"People say that we are going to go out and recruit better players, but we just came a few seconds away from possibly playing for a national championship," Patterson said. "... Just because we played in a little higher bowl, it doesn't mean that our players got any better."

That doesn't mean he doesn't think the increased national exposure won't help down the road, but he thinks the 2010 class was already a solid one long before the Horned Frogs played Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.
