Stanford Team Report Nov 11, 2009

Stanford entered a different world when it beat Oregon last week, and the Cardinal's game at Southern Cal is the first chance to see whether Stanford can survive in it.

"This is put up or shut up time for Stanford football," coach Jim Harbaugh said.

Ranked for the first time since 2001 and known throughout the country after beating the No. 8-ranked Ducks, Stanford now has to deal with the burden of raised expectations. It also has to learn how to get its feet back on the ground and regain its focus after a big-time win, something Oregon was unable to do following its big home win over USC.

And the Cardinal gets to test its mettle on the road against USC, which has won 47 or its last 48 home games. ...More
