It's not the must-win situation they were hoping for, but the Aztecs have a goals to achieve in their season-finale.

San Diego State (4-7, 2-5 Mountain West Conference) has a golden opportunity to win five games for the first time since 2005 when it travels to lifeless UNLV (4-7, 2-5) on Saturday.

The Rebels are playing their last game with coach Mike Sanford. Sanford was fired two weeks ago after UNLV was eliminated from bowl contention, and he languished in limbo through an ill-timed bye week last week.

While an era is coming to a close in Las Vegas, another has only begun in San Diego, although the Aztecs were eliminated from bowl consideration after a 38-7 loss at Utah last week.

"Number one, it's a big game for your seniors," coach Brady Hoke said.

Ian Watts kicked a 43-yard field goal with 23 seconds left as Wyoming overcame a 21-point fourth quarter deficit for a 30-27 win over San Diego State Saturday night. Wyoming (5-5, 3-3 Mountain West) rallied from a 27-6 deficit with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to tie the score. The Cowboys then recovered a fumbled pooch kick on the ensuing kickoff that set up Watts' game-winning kick.
