During a week when it's of primary significance, the Beavers (8-3 overall, 6-2 in the Pac-10) have much to be thankful for with the way things have worked out.
They set themselves up to play for their first Rose Bowl appearance in 45 years by beating Washington State to lead into the week. They actually, if begrudgingly, cheered Oregon's win over Arizona because it sets up a Civil War where there are no ifs, it's the Beavers against the Ducks for the right to play Ohio State in Pasadena on Jan. 1.
