As was clear last season, Oregon's success is all about speed, so it should be no surprise what coach Chip Kelly went after in a 23-player recruiting class.
"Speed and speed," he said.
It was an overall excellent recruiting effort, as the Ducks' class was ranked 13th nationally by Rivals.com and Scout.com. No position better exemplified Kelly's theme of speed than at running back, where Oregon signed three standouts, all from Texas—five-star Lache Seastrunk, four-star Dontae Williams and four-star Josh Huff, who picked the Ducks on signing day after originally committing to TCU.
