Brian Kelly, who has had 18 winning records in 19 seasons as a head coach, will now get to combine his strengths with the recruiting muscle of the Notre Dame program.

At his previous stops—Division II Grand Valley State, Central Michigan and Cincinnati—Kelly proved he had the ability to develop players and utilize effective schemes to be better than almost everyone else at his level.

"It's not just about being bigger, faster, stronger; it's getting your players to trust," Kelly said at his introductory press conference at Notre Dame.
