For the first time since 1994, both teams will carry winning records into the game when North Carolina and Duke take the field.
And both teams need victories to firm up their postseason hopes.
Each are 5-3 on the season, and both need to reach the seven-win level to attain bowl eligibility because they each have two games against FCS foes.
Only one of North Carolina's wins over The Citadel and Georgia Southern will count toward eligibility. Duke lost one of its FCS games, dropping a 24-16 decision to Richmond to start the season.
