Nebraska Team Report Feb 5, 2010

Signing day wasn't nearly as dramatic for Bo Pelini as it was for Nebraska's fervent football fan base.

The Nebraska coach already knew what most followers did not: The Huskers were signing quarterback Brion Carnes and safety Corey Cooper, and were saying good-bye to defensive lineman Owa Odighizuwa.

Those three players waited until signing day to make public their decisions. For most of Nebraska, the biggest surprise came from Carnes, who had reportedly committed to Western Kentucky only days earlier.

"I knew yesterday that he was coming," Pelini said on signing day. "I don't know. That's probably some blogger, or whatever you guys call those people that really aren't informed but believe they are. ...More
