Mississippi State Team Report Nov 4, 2009

After Mississippi State lost three home games by a combined 22 points and turned the ball over 13 times in that span, many MSU fans used their preferred four-letter word.

But now that the Bulldogs beat Kentucky in Lexington 31-24 last Saturday night, MSU coach Dan Mullen is using a four-letter word of his choice: Bowl.

Mullen is making no bones about it: He's selling out for his team to win two of its last three, which would give it six wins and make it bowl eligible for only the second time since 2000.

"You are looking at about 18 extra practices," he said in The Clarion-Ledger. "That's another spring (practice). That's huge for building the program for the future."
