Mississippi Team Report Nov 25, 2009

November has been good to Houston Nutt while he's been in Oxford.

The Rebels used a late-season winning streak last year to finish 9-4 in a season that included a Cotton Bowl win over Texas Tech. This year, the Rebels are 2-0 in November, winning against Tennessee and LSU at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Nutt and the Rebels will put that perfect November stretch on the line Saturday in the season's big rivalry game—the Egg Bowl, which pits Ole Miss against Mississippi State.

Though the Bulldogs are just 4-7, they have new life in Dan Mullen's first year as their head coach and are motivated by last year's 45-0 thumping that the Rebels gave them in Oxford.

Though the Rebels are bowl eligible for the second straight year, the game means plenty. ...More
