Miami had very little time to savor its first win of the season, the first of Mike Haywood's head coaching career.

The RedHawks, who topped Toledo Saturday to go to 1-8, play Thursday night, and that's only half the problem.

They have to go to Philadelphia and play Temple, one of the hottest teams in the country.

The Owls, who opened the season with losses to 1-AA Villanova and Penn State, have reeled off six straight wins, including last Saturday's road triumph over a Navy team that had won five in a row.

And the short week means a short roster.

"We're pretty beat up right now," Haywood said Monday.

Zac Dysert ran for two touchdowns and passed for another, and Miami (Ohio) earned its first win of the season with a 31-24 victory over Toledo on Saturday. The win snapped a 13-game losing streak for the RedHawks (1-8, 1-4 Mid-American Conference). Dysert went 31-for-51 with 344 yards passing, including a 10-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Cruse.
