New Memphis head coach Larry Porter bases the quality of his first signing class on how hard he had to fight to keep them.

"This is when you know you are recruiting the right guys," he told the Commercial Appeal. "At the end of the day, you've got the SEC or the Big 12 or the Big Ten schools coming in and trying to steal your guys. You have to fight until the very end."

The Tigers' 26-member signing class included one Rivals four-star and a dozen three-star prospects and was ranked fourth in C-USA by Rivals (60th nationally) and eighth by Scout.com (87th nationally). The haul includes eight junior-college transfers. Six of the players are currently enrolled.
