Although the bye week gives Marshall more time to dwell on its disappointing loss to UCF, head coach Mark Snyder says it couldn't have come at a better time.

"I think it's a really good thing," he told the Charleston Gazette. "This time of the season, everybody's dinged up. Everybody across the country; nobody's playing with the same 22 right now. So it's coming at a great time for physically, and now, emotionally. It's going to take a day or so to get these guys back."

In addition to recovering from injuries, particularly on the offensive line, the Thundering Herd (5-4, 3-2 C-USA) will try to learn from mistakes made against the Knights.

"We could have done better," defensive end Vinny Curry said.
