Don't take much from spring games.
That's pretty much an understood truism in college football, but it was hard for Louisiana Tech football fans not to walk out of Joe Aillet Stadium on April 14 without feeling a whole lot of excitement about the team's offense.
Just four months after the Bulldogs played in the Poinsettia Bowl as the Western Athletic Conference champion thanks in large part to having the league's No. 1 ranked scoring defense, it appeared as though the high-octane offense promised three years ago with the hiring of Sonny Dykes had finally arrived.
