The problems keep mounting for the Kent State program. Two straight losses combined with the season-ending injury to promising freshman quarterback Spencer Keith leads to numerous question marks heading into the season finale against Buffalo. Keith was ruled out for the season after suffering a separated right shoulder in the loss at Temple.

Compounding matters further is backup Giorgio Morgan, a one-time starter, was ineffective replacing Keith. Morgan failed to complete a pass in six attempts, lost a fumble and threw an interception returned for a touchdown in three series.

Kent State coach Doug Martin brought in Anthony Magazu took over for Keith late in the game. Martin has yet to name a starter for the final home game, but leaning toward Magazu.

Brown, Green lead Temple past Kent State 47-13 (AP)

Matt Brown ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns, and Delano Green had two scores to lead Temple to a 47-13 win over Kent State, keeping the Owls on course for a Mid-American Conference title game appearance. The Owls won a share of the Eastern division crown and can clinch a spot in the MAC title game by beating Ohio University on Friday night.
